If at any time an author can bring out emotions in a reader, they are a success. If they can draw in a reader to feel engaged in the journey of their new book friends, they earn more respect. If an author can leave a reader feeling intrigued, inspired, and even offer healing, they’ve gained a bibliophile fanatic for life. - Shani K. - The Chronicles of an Abibliophobiac.

Review: Tied (A Delve Novella) By Jacob Chance

Book:
Tied (A Delve Novella)

Author:
Jacob Chance

Format: ebook, kindle, .mobi

Series or Standalone:
This can be read as a standalone. However it is apart of the “delve” series and is a follow up to Derrick and Kenna’s story.

Warning: There is plenty of steamy moments in this book! It’s intended for mature audiences.

I’ve read Jacob’s other books, so I was excited to read this one. I snagged it right away. After all I wanted to know more about all the characters! Derrick and Kenna are going to get married, they’ve waited 7 years to give in to their mutual love and attraction. So why wait? They grab their friends for a quickie….wedding that is! Come on now, get your head out of the gutter! ;)

But...what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas! Their friends from the other books, Janey & Kyle make an appearance, which was really awesome. I love when a series is continued with intermingling the characters of the previous ones! Zack, Lana, Josh and Elle all make an appearance too. We learn a little more about Zack in this one...HOLY GRANOLA!!!! Gah...I’m so torn with my feelings on that character! Nope, can’t tell you anymore than that!!!

Loved (positive):
I loved the follow through with the other characters. It makes a smooth transition for anyone who has read them all ( like me….) and looking forward to the next one. I thought it was perfect the way Jacob gives you a glance at what makes some of the characters tick. But he also leaves you wondering more!

Not sure (negative):
The only negative I would say is, hurry up and finish the next one man! I want to know more!

Final thoughts: It’s a great quickie (hey now...gutter brain!) that compliments the series well. I loved that it was Derrick and Kenna who get married first! I didn’t really think they would, but hell you do what you got to! I can not wait to see what comes out of the next stories and how Jacob will twist things. Overall it’s an entertaining appetizer to the next book. Which he gives a peek at! Great series from an awesome new author!

My star rating: 5 out of 5 stars
